A customer needed a way to remotely monitor vehicle parking spots. The solution needed to include receiving data on occupancy status (filled or available), time of vehicle occupancy (both in minutes and as compared to the legal parking time for that space), and GPS location data on each parking spot. Richardson RFPD provided an M2M backhaul solution that included the cellular gateways, GPS module and rugged industrial antennas for cellular, GPS and 900MHz, the customer design uses 1200ea “hockey pucks” with embedded 900Mhz radios and sensors for each parking spot, and communicates with 80ea control boxes which then transmits data directly to a smart phone or Ipad.
SUCCESS STORY # 28
A customer offered a value-added service to its oil and gas industry clients for cable/harness assemblies and box build applications related to DC crane drives, but did not have in-house capabilities with power semiconductor sub-assemblies or the needed parts. Richardson RFPD was able to build three assemblies that allowed the customer to fulfill its value-added service offering—a suppression module assembly, and two converter panel assemblies.
