New wideband (1.8-2.7 GHz) Software Defined Radio (SDR)/microcell featuring envelope tracking RF power amplifier. The digital radio solution demonstrates the AD9361 RF transceiver with a 7W, wideband GaN on SiC RF power amplifier. High linearity and efficiency is achieved through the use of envelope tracking (ET), while signal generation and control of the ET modulator are handled by the field-programmable gate array FPGA.
